View Full Version : hks ssqv recirculating questions and help

I just got my car back and loving it with all the mods the only thing is my bov valve is not set up to full recirculation and i believe that is best for my car(is this true) I got the hks ssqv bov and am wondering what i need to get to set it up to full recirculation, I am searching and getting confused on what exactly i need.

You VTA right now?
If you want recirc, you definitely need a recirculating fitting that replaces the fins pictured here:

Then you can run a hose from there to your intake.
If you want VTA for sexy sound, you could also get a blow-thru tube.

I'm not gonna use the recirc fitting so i'll gladly ship it over to you if you pay for shipping. Gotta tell ya though it's quite dirty but still in good working condition.

I bought that kit but my dealership that it did not have what i needed to go recirculation. I dont get it...Do you use the stock hose from the original BOV?

Do I really need to run recirculation? The hks website to run it full recirculation if you have a MAS the ms6's Have MAF...What does everyone think

Yes, you should run recirc. Many bennifits to recirc no reason you shouldn't

It is recommended to run in recirculated mode because of metered air is being vented (during VTA) and you become rich between shifts. I thought either CP-e or Cobb are programmed for VTA. I'm not sure. You will need the recirc fitting and recirc. tube back to the Turbo Inlet Pipe (TIP). You will need to remove the HKS cover with allen wrench. Take out the VTA circle thing and install the recirc fitting. Install the cover with the allen screws.
Your opening for the TIP should be blocked (a cap) for the VTA. Remove that and connect everything up. Recirc fitting - clamp - Recirc tube - clamp - TIP. Good luck.

Thanks, I am going to go back to the shop monday and see if they will do what they should have done in the first place since i did ask him to run it recirculation...If he still charges me i will then do it myself
