    Hey I don't know what to tell you. That's the same thing that happen to me.

    I cleaned and it work fine for couple weeks. It started again so I cut that thing out and rewired it. Works great again.

    Does your fan work I think it tied in to that too.

    Nice, glad you figure it out.

    I know it scared the shit out of me when it happened, and then thinking about wire problems scared me even more.

    it scared me so bad i started looking to buy an other car why i am born into this era i want a carburated car no computer no 200km of wiring no air bags hahaha

    The ten minute thing helped me with this same problem but only lasts a few days

    is there a current fix for this. i just finished myswap and this happened on the test drive. and ineed a caliper bracket bolt too any chance on a part number? also what did u rewire so i can check the area.

    I believe the OP's issue resided with one of the main chassis grounds in the engine bay. There is a big wide white ground under the air intake that can get corroded and gross in wetter climates. Pop the airbox out (if you don't have an aftermarket intake already) and make sure that big ground has a clean connection to the frame and isn't corroded. If there is, clean it up. The OP mentioned having to re-wire a bit of the ground to fix the issue. It's about 1.5" wide with multiple wires going to it. You can't miss it.
