i gotta agree, that you should run a second muffler, however, i have a v6 09 and it will not look awkward if you do not. the pipe is so small that you can't even see it. even in the picture above of the v6 you can't see the actual exhuast only the chrome port.

Well, my plans have been thwarted!

Because the insurance company's estimate was for repair of the bumper (patching holes & painting over), the body shop's hands were tied... they had to go the repair route. Once work started, and they realize they can't fix it, they could go to replacement... but if I wanted it replaced, I would have to pay the difference.

Since I don't have the cheese on hand to cover the difference, I have to go with the repair option. Oh well... I guess it was worth a shot!

Next time (hopefully, there won't be a next time), I'll make sure the other driver does enough damage to require a replacement!

Tell them you have to get something out of the car, go over to it and kick the shit out of the bumper. Then they will have to replace it.
