because i really dont give a shit and i want a clean install and i dont trust just using silicone to hold it in....

Well I can tell you this, It was snug without the silicone. The silicone was there to add extra strength but mainly to seal any air leaks. It'll be ok.

As for a clean install. with this, you can't even see the filter from the engine bay, soooo...

Thanks Justin... I kinda understand but routing it into the intake filter seems the exact same to me as putting a breather filter. The only way that makes sense (to make it work the way you described) is to drill a hole into the actual intake pipe, like Ryan suggested, and have a bung or something welded in, which shouldn't be expensive at all. Then just find a 5/8" fitting that will screw into the bung and you're good to go.

You're not getting it dude. If you attach the EGR to a separate breather filter, you will have the vacuum from the EGR being forced to suck air through the new filter.

However, by taping into the intake filter, the intake is already under enough vacuum pressure b/c of air being sucked in to the TB/IM that the EGR doesn't have to "work" to suck in air (like it would have to if the breather was on.

Make sense?
