Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the official thread for the 2009 6crew National Mazda6 Fest which will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana…racing capital of the World. Below you’ll see all the options we have in store for you here for this historic event. This meet was primarily built upon one sole reason, for all of us to meet each other face to face, and create some wonderful memories. Below we will cover everything from events and attractions for you all to enjoy while you’re here, as well as hotels, camp sites, and other ways to make sure your stay here is comfortable at the end of each fun filled day. Within this thread I need your feedback so we can make sure that everyone’s needs or added options are taken into consideration. If you have any questions ASK. Don’t not ask because you think it is a stupid question; we need to hear your questions and your ideas. I do not mind calling or asking around to meet everyone’s needs. NATIONAL MAZDA 6 MEET OFFICIAL ITINERARY

Ok people. M@|ice and I were able to discuss this meet a little and get you all some answers about what will be going on.

THE MEET WILL BE HELD ON FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY!
(we decided that 4 days is WAY too long...)

The MEETING place WILL be at Brown County State Park.

FRIDAY NIGHT- Meet at Brown County State Park for meet and greet / cookout.
Set up camp. (FOR THOSE PLANNING ON STAYING IN A HOTEL PLEASE MAKE YOUR OWN ARRANGEMENTS AS NECESSARY DUE TO M@|ICE AND MYSELF'S BUSY SCHEDULES). Please plan on trying to meet up by 8pm Friday Night.

SATURDAY- Breakfast at a Denny's/ Cracker Barrel something along those lines.
Possible trip to King's Island (Cincinatti, OH) or Holiday World (Santa Clause, IN)
Arrive back to campground that night and all hang out.

SUNDAY- Just a good day to relax, go hiking, ultimate frisbee, football. Whatever you see fit to just get to know each other and just have a good time.

Optional activity:

Paint Ball Special on Sunday @ Noon, 3PM or 6 PM for only $15 (2 hours)

TO CLOSE OUT THE WEEKEND, WE WILL PLAN ON FINDING A GOOD SPOT FOR A PHOTO SHOOT INCLUDING A GOOD GROUP PHOTO!

We decided to not go ahead with the track due to the price (we wanted to keep this as cheap as possible). I hope you all understand.

National Meet Member Itinerary

I will be planning on waiting at our

rendezvous check point on the day of arrival. The place is yet to be determined as M@|ice and I must discuss the most accommodating place for everyone to meet at.

I know we have people coming from all over the place, and I know people are going to want to roll with each other on the way here to make for a much more enjoyable ride. So please post up your arrival time to Indianapolis and what route you will be taking to get here so that others can plan accordingly to meeting up with everyone to have a great cruise on the way to the meet.

When the time comes closer to the meet, I will give my cell phone number to those who need it, and I am sure M@|ice would be more than happy to do the same to make sure you all get here safe and not get lost.

Official 2009 First Annual 6Crew National Mazda 6 Meet T-Shirt

So the idea has been tossed around a bit for a T-shirt for our first 6crew meet, but nothing has much been done on it. I like the idea, and more importantly YOU like it. So let’s get some shirts. In here id like you guys to discuss what color you guys want it to be and what you want on them and where you want it placed. Once we find out what you guys want on them ill take the ideas and place them in a poll and we will let you guys vote on which combination you guys like the most. The combination with the most votes will be the final product. since there are going to end up being about 38 of these things I’m sure Greatthreads will help us out with a discount of some sort. Alright discuss this shirt in here, and once we get some ideas ill throw a poll up and we will see if Greatthreads can make them for us.

I'm very serious about going, but there are a couple of dates I can't (the two later June ones, won't get the time off). I just hate camping intensely... even a fold-down camper on a site where there are shower facilities can be made to work... but a tent on the ground is OUT!

i guess since the date is still unofficial...my final answer is unkown. hopefully i'll be able to make any of them work...but who knows.

sooo....if the date is right, i will be there and my brother will be with me! we will want a hotel room as well.

question: what does this mean?? 6. All automatic transmissions must have operational neutral safety switches.

i'm guessing up-to-date cars like ours would have em, but what are they? lol

I assume they mean the car cannot be started in gear rather than the brake/shift interlock that requires the brake to be depressed to leave park.

On the hotel, I would be willing to split the rent with a roomie... don't worry, I won't try anything!

Nice work, M@lice!! Epic threadage. It was as you promised. Oh yeah, I'M IN!!! The middle two weekends of July are the fan favorite, and are the ones I've got vacation time for. Put me down for hotel (double- 2 beds [family]) as well. Looking forward to the development of this event. Just wait till people start reading this at work tomorrow. Oh yeah...
