I have heard that both the F2 and Hiboost are good. I heard they both are an order and wait forever and a day type of deal, but that was over a year ago.(They may have a couple on hand now).

I would go with the speed mani. but I don't want to pay a shop loads of money for a custom pipe job. I think it's just cheaper to buy the kit and much less trouble for me in the long run.

I think you might be wrong on that. I picked up the mani and turbo so I have those already. I might grab some stock speed injectors (for next to nothing) and I have a pretty good idea of what a FMIC should cost me. At almost $4k for the high boost kit, and $3k for the F2, unless I am charged more than $2200 for the custom work with the tuning solution I would come in WAY under the highboost kit and a few hundred bucks cheaper than the F2. I think I could make a little more power too.
I have not hit up any shops about the custom work yet, so I could be off base here.

Don't let a shop fool you into thinking a downpipe is hard to make. Any exhaust shop with competence can make a down pipe.
all they need is a flange and a pipe bender. Ferryn...not sure speed 6 injectors would be correct to use for your car. The speed 6 fueling system is setup most similar to a diesel injection system. You need ev6 style injectors.

I'm glad to see that there's more than just Justin and I going the turbo route. When all of us are turbo'd we could start making some national turbo meets, restricted to only boosted 6's, and any N/A cars that want to try and hang.

Well talking with a friend of mine he can bend the intake piping, so I think I'm going to go the custom route and buy a speed6 mani. and the tuner Justin is working on getting for us. This custom setup will save me a LOT of money only because I'm not going to a shop (everything is super expensive in Ontario).

Exactly what I was planning on doing. I know that it'd be fun cruising on the highway with a handful of people in boosted 6's. The expressions on other people's faces would be priceless.

told you, custom route is cheaper. buying kits, you pay for the parts and the company labor to build the kit on top of that. custom is the way to go. i dont think a all boosted meet would be fair. lol

so with the speed6 manifold/turbo, how much of a hp gain could be made?
I am not looking for crazy 300whp, 200-250whp would be absolutely fine for me. |

Also, I'm hoping to have the turbo in my June, but at the moment I'm still planning the intercooler setup and waiting for the tuner to be released for the I4. Jan

Good luck with it man. I'm out of the turbo thing right now, but I'm watching you regardless. I have a speed6 turbo and manifold in the garage that I'm gonna get rid of. Buy Eagle's manifold 1st as this is his thread! lol
