Any word on the quality of the F4D lights? I think they seem too good to be true, and I saw on their site that they have a ring for the highs, lows and turn signal? does anyone have a picture of that?

Also of there is a group buy im in.

FYI, this is in the wrong section. A mod will move it soon I am sure.

I have not heard of or seen the lights your talking about. Got a link?

I will let you know in a couple of days. Checked the link (instead of starting at the last and somehow thinking you were the op) and bought a set.

They look good, and Freak is a trusted member.

Now I need to find some eye lids!

Hey guys, just got home, so getting around to replying now.

Okay, first of all, an update on the halos. My set has been working flawlessly since when I installed them in July, so 3 months now. I did have one inverter go out, but I am convinced it's my fault because I did not mount the inverter properly, and so I could clearly see that it had been burned and melted from touching something hot. That inverter was replaced about a month or more ago, and properly mounted. I've had no more problems.

I hope to start a group buy tomorrow, actually. I'm working some things out with Auth, and they should be settled by tonight, permitted he has the time to log on here.

Ferryn, you totally surprised me with your order. If it's cool with you, can I just throw you into the group buy, and ship out at the end? If not, let me know, and we'll work something out. I'll also send you a PM about it.

EDIT: Wow, I didn't see my new status yet, so apparently things have been worked out already. Group buy is going up tonight.

What? You want to save me some dough? Hell no! LMAO

That would be good of you! It will give me some time to search for some eye lids to cover the bald spots, any suggestions on where to buy?

OP has stated:

"The first thing you need to do is test the halos that you get. It's going to make you really mad if you take your car apart and open up the headlights and all that, and then you find your halos don't work."

but doesnt describe how.

The write-up is awesome, but as a noob this seems like a very crucial step.

Try places like Fry's or Harbor Freight Tools. They usually have stuff like that for cheap. I still recommend baking though, because you already have an oven...no purchase necessary.

That is not the kit that I am selling. That is a kit on Ebay that is considerably more expensive than my kit and the RPM kit. See the other thread for pictures of the different colors that are available for my kit.

Yeah, that's a smoked lens with a blue LED behind it. What he meant by not baking them is that he did it with a heat gun.

You pretty much need to cut a pair of wires somewhere in the car that you can wire the inverters to. I had cut the ones in my trunk a long time ago to install some better lights back there, which later broke, so the wires were just there and not connected to anything. I used that to test it. Another option is to skip to the end of the writeup and run a wire to the fusebox and another to a proper grounding location, and test it that way. This saves you from having to cut any wires.
